Cannot get to any LAFN mail, whether IN or OUT. In fact, cannot raise the LAFN "front page" with the picture of the ladies on it.
Seems to have been this way since about 8 a.m. Wednesday, from my location. I am in West Los Angeles near the 405 and Wilshire Blvd. I seem to recall that I also had a problem last night, but I didn't make a note. Here's hoping things get better soon! rizzo@lafn.org

If the internet connection is down you will not be able to get to any of our servers. They were never down, they just didn't have a connection to the internet.

As of one minute ago, the connection has come back up. Please note there will be a delay for receipt of mail as there is quite a backlog and some servers use fairly long retry intervals.

I ran "TRACERT", got a time out error where "130.152.181.82" should have been. This was three steps away from LAFN. (I was running TRACERT to zoom.lafn.org, at first to test whether it was the mail server that was out or the whole LAFN, after my mail download failed. Same results when running to mail.lafn.org.)

Hi. I spoke too soon. I got my online pictures back, but outgoing lafn.org mail is not working.
Thanks for all you're doing to fix it. I'll be patient.

All mail is working fine. I don't find any log entries where you tried to send mail. Please provide specific details of when, who, and what errors/messages you got back.

I have been able to receive mail sent to my LAFN account, but I have not been able to SEND any mail for two days!
I save my unsent emails in my drafts folder, and I now have 6 messages waiting to send.
It is now 9:55 a.m. on Thursday, and I was unable to SEND a message just 5 minutes ago, altho I received several this morning. I wonder whether there is still a problem.

As Rizzo commented, I too cannot send any mail, although I do receive mail. Is this a problem on LAFN's side or on mine? Please advise ASAP.

As previously stated, there are no remaining issues from the power outage. If you are still having problems they are caused by something else. You need to open a trouble ticket with details so someone can help you.
