Apparently the LAFN servers have been down since this morning. The only "word" I have been able to get from a very unreliable source is that the servers were removed. We are trying to figure out what is going on. This is quite a bizarre situation as I have been able to get mail today but most haven't - well at least I suspect thats the case although there has only been one report of an issue so far.

Perhaps I'm the only person with no mail. The last mail I rec'd was at 8:27 am this morn.

I'm on DSL and that's up and running.

Hi. Just to let you know, I too have not been able to receive any lafn email today either. Also, the lafn site was 'down' and I could not access it. Thank you for working on this; hopefully we will get our emails soon as we are expecting some important ones. Thank you. A LAFN User

Haven't been able to get or send mail either since this morning. I was not able to report an incident, as the lafn site is inaccessible from my browser as well.

I have not been able to get my mail through Outlook express, or get to the current users site on the home page to try to get my mail through remote mail.

At about 1500 Thursday, I had a problem with my email, ran TRACERT and got this: "Unable to resolve target system name mail.lafn.org."

I reinserted the "hosts" file with the LAFN IP #s, but the links wouldn't finish ("Request timed out"). This was the case from about 1515 through about 1540.

At 1745, TRACERT completed successfully.

So either you've found and fixed the problem or it's just back for now.
